Passo delle Erbe and the Ladin museum

San Vigilio is in one of the ladin valleys. The ladin is the mother language of the folk in the Dolomites.

Over 2000 years ago, when the Romans concord this valleys, the original tongue has been mixed up with the latin and a new language was formed: the “ladin”.

In the Ladin museum you find the hole history and culture of this valleys, geological information about the Dolomites and a lot more.

 

The “Passo delle Erbe” is a nice starting point to a lot of excursions and walks also in the wintern.
